This was my 1st tournament with my new club at A5, and overall, I am very happy with the way we played. General Colin Powell is credited for saying; “No battle plan survives contact with the enemy.” I think we saw a little bit of this over the weekend. We had our lineup and rotations set, but sometimes the enemy forces us to adapt. This was our first tournament and while I think there was really only one team that we played that had more talent, we are only going to get better.
Practice starts again tomorrow. And as General Dwight D. Eisenhower once said; “In preparing for battle I have always found that battle plans are useless, but planning is indispensable.” Tomorrow we will practice for the next tournament and we will be even better!
